First Brigade (1848) Trail Added

This trip and the Gate Mountain hike are tied together since they both played an important part in the Fraser and Cariboo gold rushes. A.C. Anderson of the Hudson bay Company established a fur trading route to the north and east from Yale in 1848. By setting out on these trails you are retracing the steps of some of the Interior’s earliest pioneers!
The hike has an intermediate difficulty level and the round trip is 15 km (9.4 mi). The elevation gain is a moderate 800 m (2625 ft) with an average grade of only 10.7%.

Lower Stein Valley Hike Added

This hikes takes you along the lower Stein Valley, near Lytton, as far as the hiker’s suspension bridge. The hike is a 25 km (15.6 mi) out and back round trip for which you should allow 10 hours.
