The weather is unpredictable, especially here in BC. When you are planning a trip, particularly before you leave, it’s a good idea to check the weather forecast.

We’ve made that easy for you by implementing a live weather feed into our hiking guide. Simply navigate to your chosen hike and right there on the page you will find the current weather conditions as well as a forecast for the next 5 days.

Just remember, no matter what the forecast says, you always need to prepare for the worst and rain gear is a necessity any time of year. You can discover more tips like this in our knowledge base.

Accessibility & Transit Information

The TrekBC hiking guide is where you will find your next hike. Chances are, if you’re new to hiking, you’ve got absolutely no idea where to go for a nice day out in the great outdoors. Sure, you’ve seen the mountains in the distance and thought ‘I wonder if you can hike up there’ Well, we can show you how.

Using the guide is as simple as choosing the area you want to go to and clicking the mouse. You will be presented with a list of hikes and can even choose based on distance, timing constraints and ability.

You will find details on the hike such as location, distance, how long it takes, points of interest and much more!

So, you’ve looked through our hike guide and you’re still not sure which one you’d like to try.. If only you could see some pictures or ask somebody else what they thought of it... TrekBC to the rescue again!

We encourage members to carry a camera and snap photos en route. This is a great way to show others what they can expect from a particular hike. You also have the option to submit a review if you like. Let people know what you encountered, how difficult it was, how long it took etc...

TrekBC gives you the power of membership and access to a wealth of information.

Choosing a hike you’d like to try is one thing, getting there is another. We try and provide as much info. as we can to get you to the trail head and back safely and easily. If there’s a bus you can catch, we’ll tell you which one. If there are parking fees and restrictions, we’ll let you know.

Sometimes the trail heads are literally in the middle of nowhere with no transit connections and that’s where the power of TrekBC comes in. You can use our tools to find other members and even form a regular hiking group in your area. This of course allows members without transport to carpool with others and have access to wilderness areas they couldn’t previously reach.
