TrekBC was born from one simple notion: Love of the outdoors and a desire to share it with others. We are a community based website for anybody interested in getting outside and enjoying the wilderness.
Navigating our interactive members area is easy and you can be ready to go in minutes. Once inside you will have the ability to set up your own hiking groups and schedule outings wherever you are located, and whatever your ability. Alternatively, you can search for hiking and outdoor clubs that have already been established by other members in your local area. Joining is as simple as clicking your mouse!
What’s more, as an added bonus, we give you access to our vast knowledge base of articles and fact sheets covering a wide range of topics related to hiking and mountaineering in beautiful British Columbia.
TrekBC isn't quite ready yet so why not check out the 3 links above that provide a little more insight into what TrekBC is all about. You can also sign up for our newsletter and we'll send you an email to let you know when we're open to members. So, go ahead and check out our public site and discover what TrekBC will be able to do for you when we go live on Earth Day 2010!

With all this wilderness in our backyards there’s no better way to spend time together as a family than getting outside in the fresh air.
Inside the TrekBC member's area you will have the opportunity to meet other families and single parents who share your desire to venture beyond the four walls we call home. Try us out and start your own local family group!
Hiking and mountaineering are great, especially by yourself right? You can travel at your own pace, go as far as you want, turn back when you want... Although at TrekBC we don't advise hiking by yourself, it certainly has its merits. There are times however, when a bit of company is a really nice thing!
That’s what’s so great about TrekBC! You can meet new people who are looking for a hiking buddy, just like you!
Discover others in your local community and even those further afield. There’s always somebody planning a hike who would be grateful of a bit of company and some fresh conversation!

There’s more to hiking than plodding along a mountain trail for several hours. There’s camping too! Yes, at the end of a hard slog what’s better than to sit back under the stars with a hot cup of tea? Not much, believe us!
TrekBC can help you discover new camping spots and give you the tools and knowledge to prepare yourself properly for a terrific weekend away.
What’s more, you can meet other people who are into camping and organize a group trip, all newcomers welcome!
